Beginners and professional players have perfected their skills and are preparing for the 12th annual Arizona State Poker Championship. The No Limit Holdum Tournament will be held from Aug. 12-16 in the Arena Poker Room. More than $1 million will be prepared, and spectators will be able to watch four-time World Series of Poker champion Tom Schneider play the final.

"The Arizona State Poker Championship is a must-see for poker fans," said Tom Young, poker director at Talking Stick Resort. "These days of tournaments are full of twists and turns and you don't know what's going to happen next. Every year, more than a thousand contestants test their luck, but only one lucky winner takes home the grand prize."

Last year's competition featured 1,580 competitors, up from 1,460 in 2014. Vance Fitzgerald, who lives in Surprise, Ariz., fought against enemies for three hours before being declared the Arizona State Poker Champion in 2015. He earned the right to show off, along with a Rolex watch and a $253,600 prize. 슬롯머신

With a $1,100 buyout, hopefuls can enter the 2016 tournament and try to join Fitzgerald in the winner's circle. The tournament will start on Aug. 12, 13, 14, 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Aug. 16. Challengers will enter the game with $16,000 in tournament chips and have the chance to purchase an extra $10,000 chip for $30. The final, which starts on Aug. 16, will feature matches between the remaining 10 competitors.
